2022 Q1 Update!
Sometimes I forget to post to this blog. I know no one is really waiting with bated breath for updates here, but it’s cringy when you visit a site and see the blog feature is outdated, so here we are. Instead of any real FoxSea updates (because lots of things are in flux, but not finalized), here’s what 2022 has been like for the Fox Fam.
January: After trying to be as careful as possible since March 2020, we all finally got Covid. It was weird and I was nervous but we all weathered the virus with general ease, thanks to us all being fully vaxxed and boosted (as appropriate for our ages).
February: I was lucky enough to escape with some good friends to Palm Springs for a few days — a real dream come true! As a lover of MCM architecture, going to Palm Springs had been on my travel wish list for years, and it didn’t disappoint. We did lots of swimming, cocktailing, shopping and even got to hike Joshua Tree. Planning my next trip there already…
March: So far we’ve celebrated 50% of our little family’s birthdays and it warmed up enough for us to break out our new Ooni Pizza Oven. I see many, many, many (many!) pizza parties in our future.
In Q2, I’ll start venturing out for in-person events again and will attempt to launch a few new products I’ve been noodling on. I’m also planning on debuting some new merch (from FoxSea and other) but I struggle with adding superfluous items to people’s lives. Like, how many canvas tote bags should one household have? Oy… indie biz isn’t for the faint of heart (I mutter this to myself at least once a week), but I’ll keep trying to create special pieces and products that matter, even if just for myself.
