This year marks FoxSea’s 8th holiday season. While 2023 has been one of this micro business’ most quiet years (peaks and valleys, friends), I’m looking forward to a small and simple fourth quarter.
One of my favorite things to bring home from the Cape each year is locally harvested salt. Cape Cod Saltworks has been producing solar harvested salts from the waters off Chatham for years and the gorgeous flakes are the most fantastic finish to any culinary creation. I particularly enjoy them sprinkled over my backyard tomatoes - no snack is finer!
When I travel, I like to gather a few practical souvenirs to bring home. From easy to take local foods and pantry staples, reusable mugs/travel cups, menus of favorite restos and stand out business cards (for a little retail espionage) to locally made beauty products and accessories, these souvenirs get put to use and remind me of wonderful memories made on the daily.
A facial steam is one of the most relaxing at-home spa rituals in the land. It feels next level when it comes to self-care, and it's easy to boot, because you probably already have everything you need. A gentle yet effective steam can help boost circulation, loosen and unclog pores, hydrate skin and promote a healthy glow. I've always delighted in the rituals of skincare. I like to take my time, light a candle, and revel in the process of self-care (well before I'd ever heard the term self-care).
2020 is off to a great start for FoxSea, thanks to packaging updates, a few new pieces and the launch of e-commerce. A new and exciting product is in the works and by the start of summer, all the products will have labels that stand up to oil drips. Excited for what the rest of the year has in store for FoxSea!
I’m quite proud of each of the products I’ve developed, and have affection for each of them, for slightly different reasons. Universal Oil is the OG and best seller, and Eye Eye, Captain has been so effective on my own under eye skin, I’m just incredibly thankful for it. And Soothing Balm, well, I’m really proud of it.
